Mauris grew up on a stud farm with a family who loved him dearly…sadly Maurice’s family could no longer take care of him but wanted to make sure he was in a safe place where he could live out the rest of his days.

When Mauris first arrived, he actually believed he was a horse and struggled to settle in with the others donkeys. He used to break out of his field to be with the horses. However, he eventually found his best friend ‘Plaster’ who was also rescued by Belline and the two of them are now inseparable

Mauris would love to be adopted as he is such a friendly character and great with people and children.
