Dark Brown Mare / 8 years old

Shannon was seized and dropped off by the Guardai / Police after being abandoned and left in a very poorly state, unable to walk properly due to her overgrown hooves.

Shannon was found along side her companion ‘Leroy’ who is now re-homed with a wonderful family in Waterford.

Shannon arrived at the sanctuary carrying her baby ‘Justin’ who was a great surprise to us all.

Shannon is a very small girl with an exceptionally big heart. She is very kind and gentle donkey who often gets bossed around by her little Justin * pictured here with him.
