ABBEY, who came from Abbeleix, County Laois (hence her name) was a surrender who was mourning the death of her newborn foal when she came to us. She was initially very timid and shy. After a lot of TLC, she became much more relaxed, and her confidence in people grew. Almost a year later, she gave birth to a surprise foal called Elizabeth and proved to be the best mother ever. Abbey and Elizabeth are now inseparable best friends.
